Quik-Tek Inserts

QT Series Inserts

The advantages:
Ideal for thermoplastic parts
Especially designed for thermal installation
Screw-locked and low-tension anchoring
High pull-out values
Efficient installation due to single-spindle,
multiple spindle or automatic machines with preheating device
Designed for thermoplastic plastics (PPS. ABS、PP etc.)

Installation:
The QT thread insert is heated to the melting temperature of the plastic.
As a result of the heat transfer upon insertion, the plastic is plasticised for a short
time and flows into the undercut of the thread insert.Upon cooling,a low-stress
interference is realised.

Thread Inserts for Metal Thread Repair: The Role of Brass Inserts?

Learn about threaded inserts

A threaded insert is a cylindrical device that is installed into a pre-drilled hole to provide a new thread surface. They are often used in applications where the original threads have been damaged by wear, corrosion or improper installation. By using threaded inserts, manufacturers and repair technicians can restore the functionality of a component without having to completely replace it.

Advantages of Brass Inserts

Strength and Durability: Brass is a strong material that can withstand tremendous loads and pressures. When used as thread inserts, they provide a powerful solution for repairing damaged threads, resulting in a reliable connection that can withstand the rigors of everyday use.

Easy Installation: Brass inserts are designed to be easy to install. They can be installed using simple tools, making them easy for both professional technicians and DIY enthusiasts. The installation process usually involves drilling a hole, inserting the brass insert, and securing it in place (usually using an adhesive or locking mechanism).

Versatility: Brass inserts are highly versatile and can be used in a variety of applications from automotive repair to furniture assembly. They are compatible with a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, and plastic, making them a go-to solution for many repair scenarios.

Thread inserts, especially brass inserts, are widely used for thread repair across a wide range of industries. In the automotive industry, they are often used to repair stripped threads in engine blocks, transmission housings, and other critical components. In the aerospace industry, where precision and reliability are critical, brass inserts provide a reliable solution for maintaining the integrity of threaded connections.
