Installation:
The QT thread insert is heated to the melting temperature of the plastic.
As a result of the heat transfer upon insertion,the plastic is plasticised for a short
time and flows into the undercut of the thread insert.Upon cooling,a low-stress
interference is realised.

What can I use to rethread a bolt hole?

To retighten a bolt hole, you can use a variety of methods and tools, depending on the condition of the hole and the materials involved. Here are some common options:

1. Tap and Die Set
Materials Required: Tap (for internal threads) and tap and die (for external threads) from a tap and die set.
Steps:
Clean Holes: Remove any debris or old material from the bolt holes.
Choose the Correct Tap: Select a tap that matches the size and pitch of the original bolt.
Drill (if necessary): If the threads are badly damaged, you may need to drill the holes using a drill bit that is slightly larger than the tap.
Tapping: Insert the tap into the hole and turn it clockwise to cut new threads. Use cutting oil to lubricate the tap to make the process smoother.
Back off occasionally: Turn the tap back slightly to clear any debris, then continue tapping until desired depth is reached.

2. Thread Repair Insert
Materials Required: Thread repair insert (such as Heli-Coil) and corresponding tap.
Steps:
Drilling: If the threads are damaged, drill the hole to the size specified by the insert.
Tapping: Use the tap provided in the Insert Kit to create new threads for the Insert.
Insert Repair Insert: Thread the insert into the newly tapped hole according to the kit instructions.
TRIM IF NECESSARY: If the insert is longer than necessary, trim it to the proper length.
