Quik-Tek Inserts

QT Series Inserts

The advantages:
Ideal for thermoplastic parts
Especially designed for thermal installation
Screw-locked and low-tension anchoring
High pull-out values
Efficient installation due to single-spindle,
multiple spindle or automatic machines with preheating device
Designed for thermoplastic plastics (PPS. ABS、PP etc.)

Installation:
The QT thread insert is heated to the melting temperature of the plastic.
As a result of the heat transfer upon insertion, the plastic is plasticised for a short
time and flows into the undercut of the thread insert.Upon cooling,a low-stress
interference is realised.

What are screws nuts and bolts?

Screws, nuts, and bolts are all fasteners used in construction, manufacturing, and a variety of applications to hold materials together. Here is a brief overview of each type of fastener:

1. Screw
Definition: A screw is a fastener that has spiral ridges (threads) wrapped around a cylindrical shaft. A screw is designed to be screwed into a material, creating its own internal threads.
Type: There are many types of screws, including wood screws, machine screws, self-tapping screws, and sheet metal screws, each designed for a specific purpose.
Purpose: Screws are commonly used to fasten materials together by screwing them into one or two materials, usually requiring pre-drilling.

2. Nuts
Definition: A nut is a hexagonal or square piece of metal with a hole in the middle and internal threads. Nuts are used with bolts or screws to fasten two or more parts together.
Type: Common nut types include hex nuts, lock nuts, wing nuts and acorn nuts, each of which has different uses.
Purpose: Nuts are often used with bolts. When a bolt is passed through a hole in a material, the nut is threaded onto the end of the bolt to secure the connection.

3. Bolt
Definition: A bolt is a fastener consisting of a cylindrical shaft with external threads and a head at one end. Unlike screws, bolts are usually used with nuts and require pre-drilled holes.
Type: Bolts come in a variety of types, including hex bolts, carriage bolts, and square head bolts, each designed for a specific purpose.
Purpose: Bolts are used to fasten materials together, passing through a hole and secured with a nut on the other side. They are often used in structural applications where high strength is required.
